The first time my rep Damian Love booked a photo shoot with television actor Alimi Ballard for me, we had a wonderful time!
We worked with Red Bottom Events on the interviewing phase of the shoot and had Top Notch Protective Services provided by celebrity trainer Malakai Ray.
The team on set from our talented wardrobe stylist, Marlayna Cherisse, to our sushi chefs all helped the shoot to be a success! Shoots like these, though, are what help build great relationships with the people you work with.
…because YEARS after our first shoot, I had the pleasure to work with Alimi Ballard again. This time, for the cover and feature story of Designer Original Magazine.
I can’t help but feel proud of Alimi, every time I see him in a new movie or television show. He’s an inspiring person to work with and has a beautiful family to top it off. GO Alimi!
It was a late Thursday night and Doon was only going to be in town for a few days. I had a meeting with a new client in Australia, a photo shoot, images to edit and a web design to update for a project.
I knew it was going to be a long day, but knowing that I’d be ending it with a photo shoot of DOON kept my energy up and excited to pull through.
It was a random, last minute shoot, and we made the best of it. A lovely Hilton hotel tucked in the heart of Los Angeles was our location.
So I set up shop in his room, looked for the best composition and we made it happen. Great conversation about life, art, and creativity sparked. Along with news of him performing on stage with Ginuwine, Juvenile, and Mystikal.
PLUS! Having a song rotating on the Music Choice channel, with Epic Records’ Future was the icing on the cake.
Self-promoted with a vision and non-stop drive, ForeverDoon is going places, fast! I’m enjoying watching the growth of his career and so happy I was able to capture a time in in his life when he was realizing his dreams. He can only go up from here
It’s been years since my team and I (along with Red Bottom Events) were invited to Island Def Jam Music Group’s Santa Monica office to meet, interview and take pictures of YG, but his music STILL plays on the radio every single day.
A growing career indeed!
I look forward to working with more music artists this year as well as see what other photography opportunities present themselves.
After the interview, YG invited us to his concert.
It was so last minute, but the team was excited to get more footage, meet new people and have a great time.
They invited us backstage and when the show started, we were right on stage with them. Surprise guests came too…
50 Cent and Lloyd Banks
We had a blast, but I would have wanted to get clearer footage. Next time!
A few weeks after the shoot, Red Bottom Events invited us to another event where YG would be performing. It was a pleasure doing business with him, his manager and Red Bottom Events.
While in college, working toward my Art degree, I started shooting for an independent music label called Beat Lounge Entertainment.
They had multiple internet radio stations, a roster of talented artists and solid connections in the industry to include, but not limited to, recognized music artists, labels, and industry executives.
One perk to providing photography and graphic design for the label was the ability to introduce any of my music clients to them, and have their music distributed worldwide through Univeral or Warner Music Group.
Mykenzie, from BTMB Entertainment, was one artist I loved working with. From photography to distribution and YouTube marketing, I enjoyed this project from beginning to end. Look out for this talent. She’s beautiful, talented and has a heart of gold. Triple threat
For those of you who may (or may not) know, I’ve been heavily focused on the new changes and growth with my creative advertising agency, The Apple Box Agency.
I’ve the next 12 months I expect to see all of my website projects getting thousands of visitors every month and I’m excited to see how 2016 pans out.
As I finish writing my eBook and adding oil to all of my website machines, I’ll also be looking into partnerships and touching base with those I’ve already spoken to, about this idea.
I want to work with creative individuals interested in creating UNIQUE quality content, based on your expertise and then driving thousands of visitors to what we create and hopefully we make some money out of it.
Stay tuned for more details during The New Year!
Lastly… I’d like to thank those of you who shared, liked, commented or even simply watched the commercial I worked so hard on, for The Apple Box Agency!
It’s because of you that we were able to reach over 20,000 views in less than a month.
I’ve been focusing all of my attention on building websites into assets. I use beautiful photography as the groundwork to launching viral websites.
...and once a website is creating income regularly, it can be used for cash flow or sold to an investor for up to 30x's its profit.
So if a website is making $10,000/month, it can be sold for as much as $300,000. It's what I love to call (digital) real estate.
This year, I plan to partner with a person like you, as well as launch an online video course with simple step-by-step instructions on growing a simple website into a valuable digital asset. Stay tuned!
